23.

Today, I turn 23. There seems to be something  different about this age, to me at least. A few friends of mine who had birthdays before me, seem to agree too. I actually do feel a little older, wiser, and more of an adult than I have before. Maybe it's all in my head, but I'm already liking the feel of 23, even though I am only a few hours in. Don't get me wrong, lots of life-changing events happened when I was 22, such as graduating college & getting my first real job. 22 was a very good year to me, but I have a feeling 23 will be even bigger and better!

color changes everything.

I just want to say how happy this commercial makes me, the colors, the music, I kind of just want to live inside it. Makes me happy that spring is here, so I just thought I would share.

one year.

I'm slightly ashamed to admit this, but I let the one year anniversary of this blog go by unnoticed! The date was March 9th, to be exact, when I put my first post here. I know that I certainly have not been the best blogger around (I am constantly thinking & trying to improve!) but I hope that this year I will be more able to work out my "life balance" & better incorporate and pay equal attention to all the things that are important to me, including this blog.

run, run, run.

Anyone who knows me, knows that after awhile, I look like Homer when attempting to run for longer than a mile. My whole life, I have had a tumultuous love-hate relationship with running, going through phases where I'm really into it & motivated while through other phases I despise it, quit and find other ways to exercise. However, recently I have hit a kind of embarrassing slump in my exercise routine and needed a way to find some motivation and to find it quick. Enter the Race for Hope 5K in May and there was my motivation. At my office, we also share our space with Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure,  who helps spearhead/organize this race. I was bold and when I registered for the race, signed up as a timed runner. Timed runner. Am I insane? Probably. But this was exactly the "kick in the pants" motivation that I needed to get in gear and hopefully not only get me started in exercising again but to continue on & keep it up. Wish me luck!
